Cavalcade – Sonic Euthanasia OUT 5/3

cade cover
GTG’s history with Michigan experimental band Cavalcade stretches back to pretty much the very beginning of the label. The main players of our friend label Bermuda Mohawk Productions are at the core of the band, and they’ve been consistently cranking out honest-to-goodness unique music since the mid-2000s that everyone at GTG has had the pleasure to witness. Along the way they’ve done tribute performances to the Donnie Darko soundtrack, had a bizarre stint as an artist on Phil Anselmo’s Housecore Records that included a stint touring as opener for Down, many US tours, and an appearance on nearly every Bermuda Snohawk compilation, but they’ve yet to actual partner with GTG for a release. That all changes on May 3rd when their 5th album Sonic Euthanasia hits the ear-holes of the world. These guys keep getting better and better – the guitars are sludgier, the sound effects are more head-spinnning than ever, the spacey moments are more far-out… basically this album totally delivers the goods. Check out “Here and Now” below and click on the player to pre-order the album at their bandcamp. They’ve also got an insane release party at Mac’s Bar in Lansing on May 3rd so we’ll see ya there! Welcome to the family, at long last, Cavalcade!
