Biography
Gestating for years in the mind of singer/ guitarist/ songwriter Chris Baratono, Narc Out the Reds finally took shape in the spring of 2008. The self-described “progressive pop” of the band is full of twists and turns, with the music being dark, cathartic, and frantic but always melodic and catchy. Joined by guitarist Ben Southwell, bassist Josh Siwek, and drummer Dan Jaquint, Narc Out the Reds boasts an intense live show and a compelling catalog of music, tied together by Baratono’s angelic-one minute-demonic-the-next vocals. Following the 2010 debut EP …Are on the Run (which featured contributions from members of The Hat Madder), Narc Out the Reds released the “Pawnmower/ Leak in the Disease” 7-inch single, recorded by Michigan music legend Jim Diamond, in July 2011 and the concise-but-epic EP …Have Just Enough to Cover Up in 2013. The 10-inch “Lipstick/ Cholera” EP appeared as their latest physical release in late 2016.
