The Wild Honey Collective Featuring Jeremy Porter East Coast Tour Fall 2021

This October a unique version of The Wild Honey Collective led by Tommy and Danielle will hit the road, featuring Jeremy Porter (who will also play solo in addition to accompanying the Wild Honey set on lap steel, mandolin, and guitar) and Nicholas Richard. This tour is hitting a lot of new spots for this GTG crew, so while the tour is officially designated to promote The Wild Honey Collective Volume 1 and Jeremy Porter and The Tucos’ Candy Coated Cannonball, given the unique band lineup and that this is the first proper extended GTG artist tour in 2 years(!) it’s safe to also expect some Plurals tunes, a variety of covers, and some collaborations with other friends at certain shows. Dates are all listed above and there’s a full event thing going here. NY, VT, ME, PA, NJ, OH…. we’ll see you out there!

Jeremy Porter and The Tucos New Album “Candy Coated Cannonball” OUT NOW

We haven’t had a January run this great since… ever? Referring strictly to GTG Records here but… there are signs elsewhere too! Today we’ve got a new long-player out from the best Detroit power-trio-founded-by-a-yooper-whiskey-drinkin-with-a-smile-rock-and-roll-band in all the land – Candy Coated Cannonball by Jeremy Porter and The Tucos! Stream/download and order it on vinyl and CD here.

This is an eleven song slab of the kind of righteous rock and roll that we all desperately need right now. Great riffs, catchy choruses, simultaneously slacker-y and polished, hints of Americana, Cheap Trick moments, Lemonheads echoes, literal references to both Minutemen and Big Star… sign me up! Pick up the record, pore over the notes, and memorize these songs cuz as soon as it’s safe these guys are gonna be on the road to save rock and roll, again! Check out the lyric video with behind-the-scenes footage for lead single “Dead Ringer” below!

Slow Draw “Pessimist” Out Now!

Here’s a cool one for 2021! San Diego punks Slow Draw came together in the last year (including a performance for one of our Best Friends Club livestreams) with some great singles. For their latest single (and the first to truly be a full band effort) “Pessimist/ Glorious” we’ve joined up with the Bad Copy, Paper Street Cuts, and Rizkan Records to release an animated flexi disc of gloomy melodic punk. Animated flexi? That means you need to look at it through a camera and there’s melting skulls ‘n stuff! Sweet! Most importantly, the music is good, with Phil’s Pick’s saying “The melancholy vibe makes for an interesting contrast to the song’s catchy musical arrangement” and Punk Rock Theory succinctly stating: “Nine minutes. Two songs. One hell of an introduction.” Phrases like “gorgeous backup vocals” and “slick guitar leads” reinforce these positive words, and they’re dead-on! Stream it and order a flexi here.
