Biography:
Noticing a lack of traditional, in-your-face punk rock in the regional music scene of Lansing, MI, lifelong music fan Josh David set out to change this in the summer of 2009, despite never having been in a band before. Finding songwriting partners in Nich Richard (guitar) and Michael Boyes (bass), Josh David’s original intentions may have been skewed, but the resulting tripped-out punk/ noise fusion of Josh David and the Dream Jeans has garnered the group a reputation as one of the best live bands in mid-Michigan. Christian Urrabazo assumed the position of the drum throne in 2010, adding a frantic energy and solidifying the group as the latest in a long-line of creative minds making exciting punk rock in the capital city.
“Debut full-length from Michigan crew that carries the flag for Decline of the Western Civilization-era punk with a pummeling, twisted, modern spin. To anyone who thinks “hardcore” has grown stale, JDDJ prove much to the contrary on this half hour blast of disorienting odes to life in the 21st century rust belt. Noisy guitars, gnarly bass, furious drums, and freaked-out vocals are crammed together with exhilarating results – don’t be afraid to turn this one up. (Another fine co-release with BMP!)” (old catalog listing from GTG store)
